Jan 6-10

  • Mon - Begin our last project - Cutting Boards or Long (skate) board Decks
    • Project description - This project is due No later than Friday Jan 24 - 15 class periods total
    • 3 weeks remain
      • Longboards - see here - Skateboard Decks are Free - Longboards add $15
        • We will be building the decks. Installing trucks will be on your own time. Allow $100 for wheels and trucks and grip tape. See how to install here.
        • You must also design your longboard\skateboard's graphics. See here
      • Cutting Boards - see here - Standard board is one board foot (see here) - If your design is larger add $5/bd foot
        • These cutting boards last a lifetimeand are a lot of fun to build but you have to plan how you will laminate it
        • Our hardwood comes in 1" thickness - for thicker boards you must rotate strips wider than 1"
    • Do some research. Make a decision on what you'd like to build - Start designing
    • You must have a complete design and procedure list BEFORE you begin in the shop
    • Lets get busy designing so we can start building Thursday
